Defendant Danny McCadney was charged by bill of information on November 5, 1997, with possession of stolen things valued at five hundred dollars ($500.00) or more, a violation of La. R.S. 14:69. Defendant pled not guilty at his arraignment on November 7, 1997. The trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress the evidence and found probable cause after a hearing on November 26, 1997. On January 6, 1998, a six-person jury found defendant guilty...
