Crook, a resident of Nebraska, was killed as a result of a propane gas leak and explosion on October 11, 1994, at his place of employment, Farmer's Cooperative Business Association (the "Coop"), a Nebraska corporation.2 Crook's estate sued the Coop, Kaneb Pipe Line Operating Partnership, L.P.
