In 1993 and 1994, Publications International, Ltd. ("PIL"), an Illinois corporation and publisher of cookbooks and magazines, entered into a series of contracts with the defendant, Burke/Triolo, Inc. ("Burke"), a California corporation, for photographs depicting PIL's recipes for use in PIL's cookbooks. In 1996 or 1997, Burke set up a website, www.foodpix.com, which displayed these same photographs...
