On March 18, 1999, the appellant, Timothy John Wooten, pled guilty to first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy, and the trial court sentenced him to serve concurrent terms of twenty years in prison. He did not appeal his convictions. On May 2, 2000, the appellant filed a Rule 32 petition, challenging his convictions.
