Fannie B. Kalis brought this products liability action against Colgate-Palmolive Company ("Colgate") and other defendants1 for injuries caused by the explosion of a container of fondue fuel. Colgate moved for summary judgment on the ground that Ms. Kalis could not establish that Colgate manufactured the product that caused her injury.
