Karen Kenna (claimant) sought benefits pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act (Act) (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.) for injuries sustained on May 8, 1990, while in the employ of O'Fallon School District No. 90 (employer).
