Defendant Wilfred Guy was charged by bill of information on April 21, 1998 with attempted second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14.30.1. Defendant pleaded not guilty at his May 13, 1998 arraignment. A twelve-person jury found defendant guilty as charged on March 3, 1999, following trial.
