OPINION

STEWART, Judge.

The superior court and the district court revoked Victor Z. Powell's probation because Powell wrote three letters from prison about his upcoming release to a Juneau halfway house. The superior court concluded that these letters contained threats to inflict physical harm, and that Powell committed third-degree assault1 and coercion2
