The opinion filed on November 1, 1999 [197 F.3d 378] is hereby amended as follows:

1. Delete the third full paragraph at 197 F.3d at 383 (beginning "The district court did not abuse ..." ), including footnote 1, and substitute the following paragraph and new footnote 1: Beardslee contends that he was entitled to cross-examine...
