We grant the State's writ application to review the trial court's ruling that granted the defendant Ronald J. Hamilton's motion to suppress the evidence. The defendant was charged with possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(C)2, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. We reverse and remand.
