Opinion by Justice GRANT.

Melvin Sherman appeals from his conviction in a jury trial for assault on a public servant. On proof of two prior convictions for enhancement, he was sentenced to thirty years' imprisonment. Sherman contends that the trial court erred by improperly denying his right to cross-examination, by refusing to tender a lesser-included offense to the jury, by permitting improper jury argument, and by improperly admitting evidence...
