After their collaborative relationship on a movie project soured, the plaintiffs Steven Bencich ("Bencich") and Ron Friedman ("Friedman") (collectively "the Screenwriters") brought suit against Yvette Hoffman ("Ms.Hoffman"), Dead Alive Productions, Inc., and Ideal Media Marketing, Inc. (collectively "Hoffman") for fraud and copyright infringement.2
