MERRITT, Circuit Judge.

Defendant Osoba requested funds for the purpose of obtaining expert psychological services for use during sentencing. Defendant Osoba now appeals the district court's decision to deny his motion for funds. Primarily, defendant argues that the district court's conclusion that the language of 18 U.S.C. § 3006A(e)(1) did not give the court authority to grant the motion for funds was error as a matter of law.
