After conditionally pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, Steven Allen Wald now challenges the district court's denial of his motion to suppress both the methamphetamine discovered in the trunk of his vehicle and his post-arrest statements. Wald's appeal presents the following issue: whether probable cause to search a car's trunk exists when a law enforcement officer smells burnt methamphetamine...
