Pretrial detainee Gregory May brought suit against Cook County Sheriff Michael Sheahan and unnamed Sheriff's Department employees, alleging that the conditions of confinement faced by detainees taken to Cook County Hospital are unconstitutional in several respects, as well as illegal under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Sheahan moved to dismiss May's suit in the district court on a variety of grounds, including qualified immunity...
