KERN, Senior Judge:

This is an appeal from the trial court's denial of a motion by appellants seeking to have sanctions imposed pursuant to Super. Ct. Civ. R. 11 against appellee Farrington and various attorneys who represented her in the filing of a complaint. The sanctions motion alleged that the complaint was filed "for an improper purpose," without making "a reasonable inquiry [that] would have shown that the legal claims are unmeritorious (sic) and not warranted...
