Debbie Stekloff was employed as a psychiatric nurse for St. John's Mercy Health Systems when she had an argument with her supervisor about making personal calls during work hours. Within minutes after the conclusion of the argument, Ms. Stekloff told her supervisor that she was too upset to perform her work and that she was leaving.
