STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Appellants Harlon Causey and Sandra Celestine, and codefendants Kenneth Ulmer and Kevin Davis, were charged by bill of information in count one with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and in count two with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. On 26 June 1997, following a trial by jury, Causey and Celestine were found guilty of simple possession as to both counts. Ulmer and Davis were acquitted...
