American Xyrofin, a manufacturer of food additives, was sold, merged, and reorganized early in 1996, with predictable consequences for some of its executives. Cultor U.S. Inc. acquired Xyrofin in January 1996 and renamed the new subsidiary Cultor Food Science (CFS).
