After a jury trial, defendant, Roger McPherson, was found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault (see 720 ILCS 5/12-14(a)(1) (West 1996)), armed robbery (see 720 ILCS 5/18-2(a) (West 1996)), aggravated kidnapping (see 720 ILCS 5/10-2(a)(5) (West 1996)), and vehicular invasion (see 720 ILCS 5/12-11.1 (West 1996)) and was sentenced to 26 years in the Department of Corrections.
