Defendant was convicted by a jury of felonious assault, M.C.L. § 750.82; MSA 28.277, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, M.C.L. § 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). He was sentenced as an habitual offender, second offense, M.C.L. § 769.10; MSA 28.1082, to a term of four to six years' imprisonment for the assault conviction and to a consecutive two-year term for the felony-firearm...
