A jury found Jerry Groce guilty of felony obstruction of a police officer. Viewed in a light most favorable to support the jury's verdict, the evidence shows that the Columbus police department was contacted by sheriff's deputies in a fugitive unit. They had several outstanding warrants for Groce's arrest and had received information that he was staying with his mother in Columbus.
