F.C. pleaded guilty, as a youthful offender, to possession of a forged instrument, i.e., counterfeit currency, in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-9-5, Ala.Code 1975. F.C. was sentenced to 2 years' imprisonment; that sentence was split and he was ordered to serve 6 months' imprisonment and 18 months' probation.
