Judith "Judy" Jordan was sentenced to serve twelve years at hard labor for attempting to distribute cocaine. She appeals her sentence alleging it is unconstitutionally excessive. Judith contends the Eighth Amendment forbids and protects her from the imposition of an excessive sentence.
