MEYERS, J., delivered the opinion of the Court in which PRICE, HOLLAND, WOMACK, JOHNSON and KEASLER, JJ., joined.

A number of venire members filled out jury questionnaires before voir dire. One of the questions asked, "[H]ave you ever been accused, complainant, or witness in a criminal case[?]" Prospective juror Marcella Sanders responded by checking the box corresponding to "no."
