JONES, Judge.

Defendant Salvador Perez (Perez) appeals his conviction of first degree murder, and sentence of life imprisonment. Finding no error by the trial court, we affirm the judgment.

PROCEDURAL HISTORY

Perez was charged by grand jury indictment on September 12, 1996, with first degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:30. Following a lunacy hearing on January 30, 1997, defendant was found competent to proceed.1
