This opinion addresses two appeals. The principal issues in these appeals are whether, with respect to a judgment of conviction, there was sufficient evidence adduced at the trial from which the jury reasonably could have found the defendant guilty of robbery in the first degree, and whether the state is barred by the double jeopardy clause of the fifth amendment to the United States constitution,
