The origin of this appeal lies in a contract between Baker & McKenzie, a large national law firm, and Wiltel Communications Systems, Inc. (Wiltel), a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Oklahoma. The contract provided for Wiltel to furnish and service a telecommunications system for Baker & McKenzie. Wiltel's liability under the contract was limited as follows:
