Robert Carnemolla appeals from a judgment convicting him of substantial battery and from an order denying his motion for postconviction relief. He argues that: (1) he was deprived of due process when one of the State's witnesses, Michael Morris, testified that he (Morris) had two prior convictions, when in fact he had three;1 and (2) the circuit court erroneously exercised its discretion when it denied his motion for a new trial...
