OPINION

SCHUMACHER, Judge.

This appeal is from a judgment of conviction for attempted first-degree murder. Minn.Stat. §§ 609.17, .185(1) (1996). Appellant Phouey Chuon was sentenced to 186 months in prison. Because we conclude that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in admitting gang evidence and that the evidence is sufficient to support the conviction, we affirm.
