GOLDBERG, Justice.

This case came before the Supreme Court on the defendant's appeal from an order entered by a justice of the Superior Court on March 14, 1991, denying a motion for a new trial on the grounds of newly discovered evidence. The defendant also appeals an order entered on July 26, 1995, denying his motion for a new trial on the grounds of prosecutorial misconduct. For the reasons set forth below...
