The defendant, Billy Caldwell, was charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine, La. R.S. 40:967, and one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, La. R.S. 40:979. A jury found him guilty as charged on all four counts. The District Court sentenced him to a total of 15 years at hard labor, including a portion without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
