The State of Louisiana appeals from a trial court ruling refusing to enforce a foreign order for child support from the State of Georgia. For the following reasons, we reverse the trial court judgment.

FACTS

On August 30, 1996, a judgment was filed in a Georgia court granting a divorce between Rosa Marie McDuffy and Michael A. McDuffy. Mrs. McDuffy is domiciled in Georgia while Mr. McDuffy lives in Red River Parish in Louisiana. Mrs....
