On 30 December 1997, plaintiff filed this action against her former employer, Duke University (Duke), and her former supervisors Jeffrey Vance (Vance) and Ronald Beauvais (Beauvais) alleging battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, tortious interference with contract, and negligent retention.
