James Kimble III was tried before a jury on a ten-count indictment for charges stemming from the armed robbery of a pawn shop during which two employees of the shop, Jones and Elkins, were present.

The State presented evidence that Jones and Elkins were robbed at gunpoint by Kimble and two other men, all of whom wielded guns. In support of kidnapping charges, the State showed that, during the robbery, Kimble and the other robbers moved Jones...
