Defendant, Derrick G. Hopson, appeals his conviction for second degree murder. We affirm.

Defendant was originally charged with committing first degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30. Defendant pled not guilty at his arraignment. Subsequently, the indictment was amended to reflect that defendant was charged under a bill of information with second degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1.
