CANNELLA, Judge.

Defendant, Lee Taylor, appeals from his conviction for the illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, in violation of La. R.S. 14:95(E) and his sentence to 10 years imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. For the reasons which follow, we affirm.
