SPEAR, J.

The defendant, Lance Wargo, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of one count of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a,1 two counts of arson in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-111 (a) (1),2 one count of tampering with evidence in violation of General Statutes § 53a-155 (a) (1)
