The State appeals the decision of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County granting the petition of Hosea Eugene Purvey for post-conviction relief. A jury convicted Purvey of first-degree murder on July 17, 1990, and he was sentenced by the court to life in prison on September 27, 1990.
