Larry W. Mallard appeals from that portion of the final judgment of dissolution of marriage that awarded his former wife, Charlene G. Mallard, "savings alimony." We affirm the award and hold (1) that Florida law does not recognize a species of alimony entitled "savings alimony" and (2) that a trial court, in determining an amount of permanent alimony, may properly consider a "savings component" if the evidence...
