David L. Patterson was charged by a bill of information with committing armed robbery, a violation of La.R.S. 14:64. On September 15, 1998, he was tried before a twelve person jury which found him guilty of first degree robbery. Thereafter, the court sentenced him to serve twenty (20) years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. The defendant now appeals both the conviction and the sentence, advancing four assignments...
