This action was filed by Barbara Ann Turner and Sean Turner, who sought declaratory and injunctive relief after the defendants, custodians of Barbara Ann Turner, who is an inmate, first granted, and then revoked, permission to allow Sean Turner to be present at the birth of the couple's child.
