This action began with a petition for wrongful death and damages in survival made by plaintiffs, Glenda and Mack Carruth, Sally and Richard Haliburton, and Evelyn and Theodore Hayes, as a result of a fire at the Peacock Plaza Inn on May 29, 1994.
