¶ 1. Herbert Coles was convicted of murder and three counts of aggravated assault in the Jackson County Circuit Court. He was sentenced to serve a term of life imprisonment on the murder charge and a twenty year term on each count of aggravated assault in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
