Domingo Diaz, driving a tractor-trailer rig owned by Straitway Transport, Inc., hit four calves that had wandered onto Interstate Highway 37. Diaz and Straitway (herein, collectively "Straitway") sued Dan Mundorf, the owner and keeper of the calves, for damages. A jury rendered a take-nothing verdict in favor of Mundorf.
