On October 14, 1996, appellant Craig Kendall Camp was charged by complaint with three fifth-degree controlled substance crimes: possession of methamphetamine in violation of Minn.Stat. § 152.025, subd.2(1) (1998), possession of cocaine in violation of Minn.Stat. § 152.025, subd. 2(1) (1998), and sale of marijuana in violation of Minn.Stat. § 152.025, subd. 1(1) (1998).
