The petitioner appeals from the judgment of the habeas court dismissing his habeas corpus petition. On appeal, the petitioner claims that the habeas court (1) improperly dismissed his claim that he was denied effective assistance of counsel at his criminal trial and (2) failed to apply the correct legal standard when reviewing the petitioner's claim that his attorney had a conflict of interest during the appeal.
