Opinion

CALLAHAN, C. J.

The sole issue in this appeal is whether, pursuant to General Statutes § 52-225a,1 an injured plaintiff, whose economic damages are reduced because of the collateral source doctrine, is entitled to an offset from that reduction to reflect insurance premiums paid by the employer of the injured party. We conclude that such an offset is proper and reverse the judgment of the trial court.
