Defendant contends that the trial court (I) erred in denying his constitutional right to a speedy trial, (II) committed prejudicial error by excluding evidence of an uncommunicated threat made by the deceased against defendant, (III) committed prejudicial error by admitting into evidence a written pretrial statement of a witness for the State, (IV) erred in denying his motion to dismiss at the close of the State's case and at the close of all the evidence...
