This case concerns the scope of protection extended by § 403.402(3), STATS., of the Uniform Commercial Code to one signing a corporate check in a representative capacity. That section mandates that a representative signer is "not liable on the check." Id.2 Here, the payee brought a fraud claim against a corporate bookkeeper.
